CD Project Red has shown more from their upcoming “Cyberpunk 2077”, which will be released later this fall.
During a live presentation called “Night City Wire” about the upcoming “Cyberpunk 2077” , by the developers CD Project Red which is behind “The Witcher III: Wild Hunt”, a new trailer was shown about the different backgrounds your character can have and an interview with the Swedish band Refused.
Here you can see the entire broadcast afterwards:
The different backgrounds you can choose determine how your adventure begins, give you different insights into the inhospitable world it all takes place in and affect your choices during the rest of the story.
If you choose “Street Kid”, you have lived a hard life on the rough streets of the city of Night City filled with gang wars, car chases and drugs. As a “Nomad”, you come from the barren desert landscapes outside the city where family and life on the roads are everything. If you are “Corpo”, you live a more high-class life as an employee of the large company Arasaka.
It is previously known that the Swedish band Refused participates in the game, as the fictional band SAMURAI where the actor Keanu Reeves (best known from the “The Matrix” trilogy) plays the frontman Johnny Silverhand.
In the broadcast, singer Dennis Lyxzén tells how they got the gig in “Cyberpunk 2077” and how they took on the task of making music for a fictional band.
“I would not write these texts myself, so it is quite interesting to go into the mindset of this character and what it would write about. It is interesting to try to capture him and the language of the game,” says Dennis Lyxzen.
A new song, called “A Like Supreme” has also been released, on Youtube and Spotify .
We also got an insight into a bunch of different weapons you can use to defeat anything that comes your way, like a huge laser rifle called “Tsunami Nekomata” or an electric samurai sword.
In the past, the battles have looked a bit half-baked and sluggish, but it clearly looks like the developers have taken the criticism and made them a little more bombastic, while balancing action with role-playing games.
“Cyberpunk 2077″ has been delayed several times, but the idea is that it will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 19. At a later stage, it will also come to Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The game looks extremely ambitious with its large world, many choices and accurate aesthetics. Hopefully it will not be too big and too overwhelming a project to tackle.
